Music can be described in terms of many genres and styles. Classifications are often arbitrary, and may be disputed and closely related forms often overlap. Larger genres and styles comprise more specific sub-categories. Maybe you’re looking for something different, something special. We love the challenge of doing something different and something special. Soul music is a collective term for several forms of pop music that Black Americans pioneered from the mid-twentieth century onward. Genres grouped under the "soul" banner include rhythm and blues (R&B), urban blues, Motown, smooth jazz, and gospel music.
